
Sean has been a councillor on Sunderland City Council since 2021 and has held Vice Chair and Chair positions as well as being a member of committees including Area Arrangements, Economic Scrutiny, Police Panel, Tyne and Wear Pension Committee and a former school governor. Sean works as a Trade Union organiser and Administrator covering a wide brief of responsibilities including accounts through to recruitment and retention.

Philippa, is a financial consultant, mentor, and executive coach for regional voluntary sector organizations. She’s held financial director roles at Connected Voice and Changing Lives, and advisory roles at Concern Group and Citizens Advice Gateshead, among others in the North East.

Satty lived in the North East for over 30 years now, I live with my husband and two boys. I have worked in the housing sector for over 20 years and have enjoyed every minute of it, no two days are the same. I joined the NECPT as a Trustee 9 years ago and a commissioner for the North East Child Poverty Commission.

Lewis is passionate about working with children and families. He understands well the harm that poverty can have in children’s health, social and emotional wellbeing, and education. Lewis has experience working in children’s services across the North East and is a member of the North East Child Poverty Commission.

Amy has been an active trustee since 2019 and was instrumental in securing funding from NLCF for NECPT’s work. She works for NCC managing their HAF programme and other key projects supporting the Inequalities Plan. Amy has extensive experience within the VCSE with her previous and incredibly varied role with a Teesside Charity, from financial wellbeing, to youth services, to breakfast clubs.

Work with the Holiday Activities and Food Programme Manager for Public Health South Tees, covering Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. Previously, I coordinated a Holiday Hunger Programme for a charity and worked in education for over 15 years. A lifelong resident of the North East,

John is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people, especially those growing up in poverty. This is visible in his current role at StreetGames, one of the UK’s leading ‘sport for development’ charities. He has been at StreetGames for 17 years, 8 of which he has lived in the North East and led the work of the charity in the region. He has also been designated safeguarding officer and held a number of national advisory roles, most notably working on the governments Holiday Activity and Food Programme where he led on the pilots programmes in Newcastle Upon Tyne

Thomas began his housing career working as a frontline officer supporting customers through the impacts of welfare reform. Through his housing career he has led and managed a wide range of housing teams and services and has also been recognised for his leadership credentials when winning the NHF Dash24 Young Leader of the Year in 2015. Thomas has held a number of board positions including a role as a Town Councillor before returning in 2022 to his native North East to lead the Housing Management service for Gateshead Council which includes responsibility for the tenancy and estate management of 17,000+ homes.
